We’re celebrating 20 years and we want you to join us for the party of the year. Our famous Southside Block Party is back and it’s going to be even bigger and funner than ever! More food, more fun, more cars and bikes, more vendors, A LIVE CONCERT and bigger smiles all day long! As always this event is open to the public, family friendly (Beer Garden is 21+) and guest entry is absolutely FREE! It would be a good idea to bring cash for the food and vendors although some may take cards. We will also be doing a canned food drive and have a raffle with great prizes provided by our great local partners and sponsors.
CAR & BIKE SHOW
As always there will be plenty of custom cars, trucks, bikes, and offroad vehicles on display. Sign up your ride to compete in any of our categories for a chance to win a trophy or medal. Categories include:
Bass Competition, Lifted Truck, Lowered Truck, Classic Car, Classic Truck, Euro, Import Car, Domestic Car, Engine Bay, Interior, Paint, Lowrider, Street Bike, Custom Bike, and People’s Choice.
CANNED FOOD DRIVE & RAFFLE
Each event guest will get a raffle ticket upon entry and an additional raffle ticket for every five (5) cans of food donated to the Food Bank of Alaska. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase with proceeds going to Bean’s Cafe. Raffle prizes will be drawn starting around noon and throughout the day until 5pm.
FAMILY FUN & ENTERTAINMENT
This is an all ages event and there will be plenty of fun for men, women, kids and kids at heart…
Junk Toss contest, Kids Pie Eating contest, Rock Wall courtesy Alaska National Guard, Live music with Alaska’s own Reggae Band H3 and kid friendly activities hosted by Elite Sports Performance.
FOOD & BEER
49th State Brewing Co. is back as our official beer garden vendor (21+ with valid ID), and we will have delicious grub from Don Jose’s, Adobo Grill, NorthernSno, Tia’s Gourmet Sausages and others. Be sure to bring some cash for vendors who don’t take plastic.

IS THERE A COST TO ATTEND?
This is a FREE event to attend to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, even Susan. Bring e’rbody.
VENDOR AND CAR SHOW SETUP
All vehicles for the car show and all vendors / sponsors with booth setups will need to be set up and ready to go by 10:30am. Gate will be open at 8:00am.
CAR SHOW REGISTRATION AND FEE
Each participant will be required to sign up their vehicle(s) and pay the $30 fee per vehicle, either online (FORM ABOVE) or the morning of. The fee includes a commemorative T-shirt, Competitor Badge, Magnetic Dash Plaque and your shot at the trophies and medals. Swag is first come first served so sign-up and pay early online to secure your spot.
FAMILY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT… MOSTLY
Yes, this is an all ages event, although there will be areas for 21+ only. Please be aware that there will be loud music, at times VERY loud bass, please be prepared for young children with appropriate ear protection. Due to the nature of car culture and live music, their may occasionally be music with explicit lyrics. Also, please note, DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED within the fenced property, the property owner will fine us for each occurrence.
WHERE DO WE PARK?
There is construction going on along 82nd Avenue (Great timing right?) Please see map above. There will be limited parking along 82nd Avenue along the street on the east half of the road. There will also be some street parking along 81st avenue near the rear entrance. Additional parking options would be in the lots around Wells Fargo, Bed Bath and Beyond, and the Dimond Center.
