Totally Protected Vehicle Approach
Our vehicle security approach begins with protecting the entry points (doors, hood and trunk/hatch) as well as disabling the starter. In this way, if any entry point is broken into it causes the system to activate. The vehicle’s ignition switch is also protected in the event any ‘hot wiring’ is attempted or duplicated keys are used. Protection in a vehicle security system is also includes creating attention that causes potential thieves to flee. We connect into the vehicle’s parking light circuits to flash them. We also install one or more high output, hidden sirens to enhance distraction of the potential thief. Interior mounted LED warning lights flash to let potential thieves know your vehicle is protected and provide additional deterrent.
To customize and add very specific protection, we also install a number of specialized sensors to act as activation points when specific thresholds are exceeded.
• Impact Sensor – An impact sensor (also called a shock sensor) is the most diverse single sensor we add. It is intended to sense impact such as smashing of the glass, tampering with the door handle or lock mechanisms and other things where the vehicle body sees light to moderate impact. It’s the best ‘all around’ sensor and is included in most all of our security systems.
• Digital Motion Sensor – A digital motion sensor is ideal for protection of the vehicle moving, such as an attempt to tow the vehicle or jacking it up to remove wheels/tires. Probability of false triggers from heavy winds or rain is greatly reduced because of being a digital sensor.
• Field Disturbance Sensor – This sensor detects the objects introduced into (or removed) in an open space and are ideal for truck beds, convertibles, sunroof cars or anything that may lack the need to open a door to gain entry. These are also known as ‘radar sensors’ or ‘ultrasonic sensors’, but the operational principle is the same, which is using high frequency radar to detect changes in the open coverage space.
• Glass Break Sensor – A glass break sensor is specifically designed to sense the sound of breaking glass. Many of the methods used by thieves use to break a vehicle’s would be well covered with this type of sensor.
We can also further customize a security system adding additional specialized sensors or switches to cover things such as tool boxes or storage bins on trucks. We can add other distractions (such as strobe lights or honking the vehicle’s horn). To increase the longevity and effectiveness of the system sounding, we can install a back-up battery system to continue sounding the sirens should the main battery power be disabled by a thief. We can always pair the security system with a combination remote starter, too.
