Smartphone-Controlled Remote Start Upgrade for 2021 Audi Q5

One of our regular clients from Anchorage brought her 2021 Audi Q5 to us to get a remote start system installed. Cold winter mornings would be no match for this beautiful new car.

We chose a Compustar RFX-FT2600-SS two-way remote kit paired with a Compustar CMVWXMAO control module for easy control from the remote key fob, or from her smartphone via the DroneMobile app. We used a T-harness so none of the vehicle wiring had to be modified to make the system work, although one of the OEM key fobs had to be sacrificed to integrate the new system. The OEM Audi push-to-start ignition system still operates normally, and you’d never be able to tell anything on the vehicle was ever modified.

Compustar Long-Range Remote Start Upgrade for 2013 Subaru Impreza

A new client who was referred by a friend brought her 2013 Subaru Impreza to us to get a remote start system for it. She wanted to be able to start the vehicle from indoors, so our team walked her through some remote start system options, and we got her fixed up.

We selected a Compustar 7900AS system with an RF-2WT9 remote that gives her two-way control and feedback on the vehicle’s current status, and has plenty of range to start it from wherever she needs to. This kit includes a Compustar FT7000-AS that provides a robust platform for both remote start and full alarm functionality to protect her investment. We also installed an FT-DAS sensor that detects impacts to the vehicle and tilting from jacking or towing to complete the package.

2015 BMW 500X Gets Long-Range Two-Way Remote Start Upgrade

A client came in with their 2015 BMW 550X, looking for a new remote start. Here at Perfectionist Auto Sound, our techs are extremely experienced with European vehicles, so we could walk through many options with our client while guaranteeing a clean and reliable install. Eventually, we decided on the RFX-2WT9-FM, a two-way remote with a half-mile range. “Two-way” means that the remote notifies you when the vehicle is started, locked or unlocked through the LCD screen, an audible tone and even through your phone when using the Compustar Drone car-starting app.

The client was smiling and happy on picking up their vehicle, knowing that they could now enjoy a warm and cozy vehicle for the long winter months, or a cool vehicle during our sweltering summers.

Two-Way Compustar Remote Start Upgrade for 2019 Nissan Titan

A repeat customer from Anchorage, AK, came into our shop recently, looking for a new remote start for their 2019 Nissan Titan. They knew they wanted a remote with a longer range because they are usually a good distance from their car when they want it to start. We decided on the Compustar P2WG15, a two-way remote with a range of 2 miles. “Two-way” means they will be notified when the vehicle is started, locked or unlocked through an LED light and an audible tone — even through a push notification when using the Compustar Drone, the app for your smartphone.

As always, we started this install with a check-in using an iPad, which includes taking photos of the exterior, checking the functions of the vehicle and performing a battery test. We then put a battery charger on the vehicle with a fender cover to protect the vehicle’s paint from any scratches. Then, our techs prepped the install by soldering every connection, electrical-taping each connection and then using JK Tapes — a cloth tape similar to the tape used in factory — to clean up the install.

The customer picked up their vehicle and was ecstatic at the quick and efficient job we had done.

Unlimited-Range Smartphone-Controlled Remote Start for 2019 Ram 1500

Remote Starter with Unlimited Range

A customer recently came in with their 2019 Ram 1500, looking for an autostart. Since this customer travels a lot, he knew he wanted a remote with a long range to start his vehicle from the airport. We agreed on installing the Compustar Drone, a two-way remote start that you use from your phone with virtually unlimited range, as long as you and the vehicle are within cell service.

The customer also requested we add a kill switch to his vehicle so that he could turn the autostart off if he plans on leaving for a couple of weeks. We installed the kill switch near his steering wheel, which will give him the ability to turn the autostart module on and off easily.

Our customer was over the moon when he came to pick up his vehicle, knowing that he had a reliable remote start that will guarantee he stays warm all winter long, and can even cool down his vehicle on hot summer days.
