A repeat customer from Anchorage, AK, came into our shop recently, looking for a new remote start for their 2019 Nissan Titan. They knew they wanted a remote with a longer range because they are usually a good distance from their car when they want it to start. We decided on the Compustar P2WG15, a two-way remote with a range of 2 miles. “Two-way” means they will be notified when the vehicle is started, locked or unlocked through an LED light and an audible tone — even through a push notification when using the Compustar Drone, the app for your smartphone.

As always, we started this install with a check-in using an iPad, which includes taking photos of the exterior, checking the functions of the vehicle and performing a battery test. We then put a battery charger on the vehicle with a fender cover to protect the vehicle’s paint from any scratches. Then, our techs prepped the install by soldering every connection, electrical-taping each connection and then using JK Tapes — a cloth tape similar to the tape used in factory — to clean up the install.

The customer picked up their vehicle and was ecstatic at the quick and efficient job we had done.
