Perfectionist was humbled and honored in 2011 to be recognized as the #1 Retailer of the Year in America for our industry by a leading industry publication like Mobile Electronics Magazine. At the time, we were working hard to refine and upgrade every detail of our customer experience when industry colleagues nominated us for the list of top 50 retailers. With so many changes taking place and so much positive feedback, it seemed it was the perfect time to throw our hat into the ring at a chance at recognition for our growth. We knew it was a long shot but we figured taking big chances and going for the gold so to speak was what got us this far, so we might as well try, right? We were blown away when our name was called at the awards banquet. Our industry had recognized us for being the best of the best and we couldn’t have been more proud or more in awe at the competition we were up against. We didn’t think it could get any better. It fueled and motivated us from that day to take the next steps to make things bigger and better.
Then on August 17, 2015…. that magic happened again. As we sat amongst colleagues, friends and mentors being honored for their accomplishments and contributions to the 12 Volt Industry… the drum roll swelled and when our name was called for that award… again… everything stopped. All I could think about was “did this really just happen again?” I thought about how my team pushes themselves every day to live up to my standards. I thought about how motivated and energized they are to be the best and how proud of them I am. How thankful I am for each and every person in my life, professionally and personally, from whom I have learned so many things and that have brought me to this point. I thought about how much I love being a part of an industry where innovation and craftsmanship can both be competitive, yet breed a brotherhood that is unbreakable.
I know I said thank you to so many that night. But in the event that I didn’t make it clear enough, thank you. Thank you to our customers for without you and your trust in us and your continued patronage and feedback we could not grow and learn the way we do. Thank you to my industry colleagues for motivating and inspiring. Thank you to my team. I know I push hard to always do better and I hope you know how much your dedication to this dream means to me.
Thank you,
JOHN SCHWARTZ | CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
