Anchorage Client Gets Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon Remote Starter

The owner of this 2016 Mercedes-Benz G-wagon contacted Perfectionist Auto Sound and Security to inquire about the installation of a remote starter and keyless start system for her truck. After a little research, we came up with a solution to change the factory key-start system to a keyless system. We also proposed a DroneMobile solution to give her unlimited remote start range. With her approval, we scheduled an appointment for the installation.

We started by removing the factory key-start system and installing a keyless push-to-start solution. We used a Mid-City Engineering SKSNG166D4 interface to remote start the truck. This interface handles all the data and security communication with the factory ECU. The new system came with two keys, one of which we had to sacrifice to the remote starter interface module. Once that hardware was installed, we had the local Mercedes-Benz dealer program the keys.

A DroneMobile DR3400 Telematics interface allows the client to use an app on her smartphone to remote start the truck from anywhere she has an Internet connection.

Mercedes-Benz Backup Camera Increases Safety for Anchorage Client

A client from Anchorage came to Perfectionist Auto Sound & Security in search of a new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter backup camera that integrates with the vehicle’s rear view mirror. Our team spent time on getting to know the client better and how they used their 2016 Sprinter, and looking it over with them. Then we spent time on looking at products that we thought best suited their needs. We worked up a proposal for the client that they liked, so we set an appointment to do the work.

Our team installed an Accele backup camera that replaces the third brake light. We then replaced the rear view mirror with one that has a display for the camera. After finishing the installation, we went over the operation of the products with the client, who was pleased with how it worked.

Unlimited Range GMC Sierra Remote Starter for Anchorage Client

A client from right here in Anchorage, AK, came to us for a 2016 GMC Sierra remote starter system. We installed a Compustar system for this particular client that gives her 1,000 feet of range. We also added the DroneMobile. She now has the ability to start the truck remotely at her house, as well as many other locations, like work, restaurants or the movies. The Drone gives her unlimited range as long as she has WiFi or cell service. This allows her to get into a cool truck in the summer, and a warm truck in the winter.

Ford F-350 Lighting And Remote Starter Upgrades For Anchorage Client

A client from here in Anchorage came into Perfectionist Auto Sound and Security in search of some lighting upgrades and a remote starter for this 2016 Ford F-350. The client explained that he liked to go camping up near Wasilla, so the extra light would make evening drives much safer. We had a look at the truck, and showed the client a few options. He had done some research and found an auxiliary lighting solution that he also liked. We scheduled an appointment to perform the installation.

HID Upgrade Kits

Ford F-350 Lighting — The lighting upgrades helped make this truck much safer at nigh time.

We started by removing the factory headlight and fog light bulbs from the truck. We installed Turnagain H13 BiXenon bulbs in the headlight housings. Additionally, we added 9145/H10 bulbs in the fog light housings. Both bulb sets have a 6000K color temperature that gives them a great balance of light output and a cool modern look. We used a Hi/Lo harness on the headlight installation. We mounted the ballasts included with the kits securely, and we secured all the wiring out-of-sight. The result was a factory-looking installation with premium performance.

Led Light Bars

The client asked us to install a set of Rough Country LED light bars for him. Rough Country makes a kit that mounts a pair of single-row 30-inch LED light bars in the factory grille. We had to make a few minor adjustments to align the lights perfectly, but the kit made the installation simple and effective. The curved light bars match the contour of the front grill nicely.

Remote Starter

We set the truck up with a DroneMobile cellular interface and a Compustar remote starter with an RF-1WG6 remote control. As with all of our remote starter installations, we check the truck into the shop and confirm the functionality of the basic electrical system. Once we complete and test the installation, we have a different technician double-check everything. Then we use our tablet-based app to recheck all the vehicle systems. Our process adds a few minutes to each installation. But when it is combined with our attention to detail such as the use of Tesa cloth tape and soldered electrical connections, we can be sure that every remote starter installation is as perfect as we can make it.

Using the DroneMobile, the client can control locking, unlocking and remote start functions from anywhere (as long as both his truck and his phone have a cellular data connection). He could be on the beach in Cancun and still can communicate with his truck!

Anchorage Client’s 2016 Toyota Rav4 Gets Remote Starter

A client from Anchorage, Alaska, came in with a 2016 Toyota RAV4 for a remote starter system. This client decided on Compustar’s DroneMobile and a basic one-way remote with 1,000 feet of range for a backup. The DroneMobile is very popular in Anchorage and one of the top units we sell. It has unlimited range through an app on the driver’s smartphone, so it works well with clients who travel a lot, and especially with students going to college. (DroneMobile does require an annual service fee or a three-year plan.)

We started our install by checking every function of the vehicle, using our iPads to record everything. We then performed our install using Tesa tape and zip ties, and soldering each and every connection.

Once we complete the job, we have a different technician check out the vehicle. He goes over the same functions and checks the work performed. In this case, he checked the hood pin, brake shutdown, unlock, lock and remote start. After checking out the vehicle, we vacuumed the RAV4. Before we pulled it out of our service bay, we added a complimentary Perfectionist Auto Sound and Security water bottle and a VIP hanger.

We taught our client how to use the new remote start and answered any questions.
